The cleanup from Sunday’s massive windstorm is still ongoing at the Kelowna Yacht Club, as members attempt to restore the more than 400 boats that were damaged by giant waves.

The club confirmed Monday that at least one vessel had sunk. Thursday morning divers went down one hundred feet to retrieve the sailboat.
The rescue took more than six hours, but a crane was eventually able to return Living the Dream to the surface of the lake, all in front of dozens of members who had gathered to watch the process.
Robert Cook, who works for Inland Divers, played a major roll in bringing the 32-foot sailboat to the surface. He says it wasn’t easy.
“It’s very difficult and very precise. Any little mistake and it could flip.”
Cook said this was the biggest and most complicated sailboat rescue his dive team has ever seen.
