Security video released of shooting at restaurant in North York

Police are seeking the public’s help in an attempted murder investigation after bullets were fired through a restaurant window in North York this week injuring a male inside.

Security video released by police shows a person in dark clothing walking up to The Owl of Minerva restaurant in North York and firing off several rounds from a handgun through the front window before fleeing in a black sedan.

The incident happened on Tuesday around 2 a.m. on Yonge Street just south of Finch Avenue.

Police say the male victim in his 30s was seated inside the restaurant when shots rang out. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting suspect is described as black, 20 to 30 years of age, 5’7″-5’9″ in height, with a thin build and neck-length braided hair.

Police are asking people who may have witnessed the shooting or who has any dashboard camera footage to come forward.
