Charges laid in Aurora banquet hall shooting that injured 4 people on Canada Day

Five men are facing charges after a shooting at a banquet hall in Aurora on Canada Day sent four people to hospital.

York Regional Police say shots rang out after a fight during an event at Dinardo’s Mansion around 10 p.m. Friday.

Three women and one man were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police announced Tuesday that aggravated assault charges have been laid against five people arrested while allegedly fleeing the scene in a white Porsche.

Charged are Toronto residents Raymond Powell, 31, Adrian Pascal, 28, and Devin Degoias, 20, as well as Jason Beharry, 24 of Oshawa, and Jason Maragh, 30 of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Powell and Pascal are additionally charged with failure to comply with recognizance.

Police are also looking for a man seen leaving the area.

Anyone who can identify him is advised not to approach him and to call police. Witnesses and any nearby business with video surveillance are also asked to contact police.
