Investigators in Victoria look for pepper-spray attack victim

Victoria Police are pleading with a woman who was allegedly pepper-sprayed earlier this month to come forward.

It happened just before noon on June 18 in the area of Broad and Johnson Streets. Witnesses called 911 to report a man had pepper-sprayed a woman in the area.

A witness followed the man, and he was taken into custody by officers at the intersection of Store and Fisgard Streets. He eventually admitted responsibility for assaulting the victim, whom police have not been able to locate.

The victim is described as a blonde woman, approximately 40-years-old and six feet tall. She was wearing dark clothing and seen collecting cigarette butts in the area.

Investigators want to make sure she is OK and speak with her about the incident.
