Update: Windsor police said after reviewing store inventory, the complainant advised police that all firearms are accounted for and none are missing.
An unknown number of long guns were stolen from a Canadian Tire in Windsor, Ont., after police say an unidentified suspect orchestrated a daring break-in through a skylight.
Windsor police responded to the store on Tecumseh Road West for a break-and-enter call around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the caller told officers he entered the store and found the firearm cabinet damaged and an undetermined number of firearms were missing.

Investigators concluded the break-in occurred around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, after police said the suspect got onto the roof of the building and broke in by smashing the skylight.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and they are reviewing the store’s inventory to determine how many long guns are missing.

The suspect is described by police as a white male with a slender build wearing light-coloured jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.
