The BC SPCA is appealing to the public for help in finding a Boston terrier-pug mix dog that was stolen from the Burnaby shelter on Tuesday.
The terrier-pug pup named Ninja was put up for adoption on May 19 and a few days later a Caucasian woman came to the shelter inquiring about him. The woman completed the dog-walking form, which allows visitors to take the dogs out for a short walk, and left her keys and purse with reception.
When she did not return with Ninja the SPCA staff discovered the purse did not have a wallet and the information on the dog-walking form was fake.
Ryan Voutilainen, manager of the Burnaby BC SPCA said they filed a report with the RCMP and is hoping someone may know about Ninja’s whereabouts.
Voutilainen also said that Ninja has a visible identification tattoo and a microchip registered with the BC Pet Registry.
