KELOWNA – The B.C. Conservation Officer Service has named an Okanagan man the 2015 Outstanding Officer of the Year.
Sgt. Josh Lockwood is stationed in Kelowna.
In making the announcement, the Environment Ministry describes Lockwood as a true leader who inspires all those around him.
“Josh can always be counted on to step up and lead or participate in new and exciting initiatives within the COS and other parts of the ministry,” says Chief conservation officer Doug Forsdick in a news release. “Josh has always been a positive and effective leader that has left his mark on the organization.”
Lockwood helped implement a critical incident stress management team for the COS and represents the agency in the province’s Invasive Mussel Defence Program.
The award has been given out annually since 1992.
