MONTREAL – An 84-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after a hit-and-run in Montreal’s Saint-Michel borough Friday evening.
Montreal police spokesperson Benoit Boisselle said the woman was struck by a car heading north on Saint-Michel Boulevard as she attempted to cross the boulevard at a crosswalk near Charland Avenue.
The vehicle fled the scene, leaving behind the passenger-side mirror.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police said her condition was upgraded to stable and that her life is no longer in danger.
Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s help in locating a red, two-door, late-model Hyundai car that is missing its passenger-side mirror.
