WINNIPEG – Dozens of young Winnipeggers became soldiers for a day at Winnipeg’s Minto Armoury.

On Saturday, people aged 16 and up tried on Canadian Armed Forces uniforms while spending time with the 38 Service Battalion.

They were told about jobs within the Battalion, including what it means to be a weapons technician, mechanic, or cook.

Part of their day was also spent doing physical training and weapons handling.
