REGINA – Mayor Michael Fougere announced on Friday that he would be seeking a second term as mayor in this fall’s municipal election.
Fougere was first elected mayor on October 24, 2012. Fougere took 42 per cent of the vote after long-time Pat Fiacco stepped down.
Fougere was instrumental in the city’s plans for a new stadium.
Prior to being elected mayor, Fougere was a five-time city councilor in ward 4 which covers the majority of the city’s south eastern neighbourhoods.
