Downtown drug bust nets cocaine, pot and cash; according to police

A 23-year-old Calgary man is facing trafficking charges after the Calgary Police Guns and Gangs Unit executed three search warrants in downtown Calgary.

According to police, officers found $900 worth of cocaine, along with some OxyContin, marijuana and just over $19,000 cash.

In a media release issued Thursday, the Guns and Gangs Unit said they searched two vehicles as well as an apartment in the 1000 block of 6 Avenue S.W. on Wednesday.

Police have charged Travis Huyhn, 23, with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and proceeds of crime. Huyhn is scheduled to be in court Friday April 29.
