“He was just moving in and out of traffic,” said Dr. Michelle McCormick, who was passed by the 26-year-old rider just prior to the incident.

“My thought was, ‘Oh my God, that guy wants to die.’”

The accident was captured on camera, and shows the speeding motorcycle hit the back of a car, throwing the biker more than 90 metres and sending the vehicle airborne.

The video shows the motorcycle fly end-over-end more than 60 metres through the air.

“It was like a yard sale,” said McCormick, describing the scene of the accident. “Everything was everywhere.”

“Based on the condition of the motorcycle, I was pretty certain he was dead,” said witness Lynsey Davey.

McCormick was one of the first people to come to the aid of the biker, helping to keep him conscious while waiting for medical help to arrive.

“I don’t know how he’s not gone,” McCormick said. “It’s a miracle. It feels like a miracle.”
