WINNIPEG —  Owning a home is expensive, especially when something breaks. Habitat for Humanity is hoping to help with the repairs.

The non-profit has launched Habitat Handyman, a service offering affordable repairs and renovations.

The focus will be on small jobs for low and middle income homeowners in Winnipeg.

“We are targeting initially families and homes in the core, North End and other modest parts of the community, many of whom need small repair jobs and don’t have the skill to do it and can’t find a contractor interested in the small job.,” said Sandy Hopkins, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity.

The money earned from the repairs will go back into supporting Habitat for Humanity.
