CCTV footage from a 2011 bombing in Moscow, Russia is incorrectly being shared as footage from Tuesday’s deadly terrorist attack in Brussels.

The footage began circulating on social media shortly after news of the bombings at Brussels airport and one of the city’s metro stations broke. Many media outlets, including the U.K.’s Daily Mail, quickly reported on the CCTV footage, claiming it was taken from a camera inside the city’s airport.
The footage, however, was taken from a security camera showing the 2011 bombing at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport that killed 35 people and left more than 100 injured.
Unfortunately, it appears online hoaxers altered the video to display Tuesday’s date.

Many social media users were quick to debunk the footage – some noting it wouldn’t have been possible for anyone to have accessed CCTV cameras from Brussels’s airport that quickly.
