Annual Calgary Peace Walk attracts more people standing up against conflict

CALGARY – Hundreds of people were expected to join Calgary’s annual Peace Walk Sunday afternoon.

The one hour walk started at the end of the Peace Bridge and continued around the downtown core before returning to the bridge on Memorial Drive.

The walk is for people wanting to stand up for what they believe in. Organizers say each year, the walk attracts more people who have a growing interest in ending conflict at home and around the world.

The event also involved people singing songs of peace and sharing peace rocks.

The walk is organized by ‘Be The Cause’.
