Arrest warrant issued after Saskatchewan prisoner escapes custody

WARMAN, Sask – Warman RCMP are searching for a prisoner who went missing from a work crew Thursday.

Police say Jeffrey Adam Dyck, 30, was assigned to work detail as part of a nine-person crew at Pike Lake Provincial Park. At 12:56 p.m., Saskatoon Corrections employees reported that Dyck had escaped by stealing a nearby vehicle.

RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for Dyck. He is described as Caucasian, 6’0″, 165 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a medium build.

At the time, Dyck was wearing an orange high-visibility suit.

He may be in possession of a 2000 blue Chevy 1500 regular cab truck with the Saskatchewan licence plate 825 BNG.

Anyone with information about Dyck’s wherabouts is asked to call Warman RCMP at 306-975-1670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police say Dyck should not be approached.
