Residents in parts of south Texas faced a damaging hailstorm on Monday that caused damage to homes and cars and resulted in power outages.
Windows were broken as hail the size of golf balls pelted the area. Cars were damaged, and in one shopping mall in Del Rio, the hail broke ceiling windows and fell into the shopping area.
About 10,000 people in Del Rio were left without power, and some schools had to cancel classes as a result.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Another severe storm system is producing hail and tornadoes, but this time in Louisiana. It is part of the same one that will bring a snowstorm to southern Ontario and the eastern seaboard Wednesday and Thursday.
