Coquitlam RCMP are investigating a possible hate crime after a rash of cars being keyed resulted in thousands of dollars of damage.
About 30 cars in a Burke Mountain neighbourhood were keyed and had their locks smashed. A swastika was scratched into one of the vehicles.
Police are canvassing the area and looking for private video surveillance. They’re asking anyone with information to come forward.
Local residents are calling the vandalism ‘frustrating.’
