Kanye West scorned on Twitter after declaring Bill Cosby ‘innocent’

While a Pennsylvania judge has ruled that Bill Cosby will stand trial for indecent assault, and more than 50 women have come forward to accuse the once-beloved comedian of drugging and sexually assaulting them, the number of people who continue to stand by Cosby in the belief that he’s innocent continues to dwindle.

As the 78-year-old Cosby prepares for his trial, he can be content in the knowledge that there’s at least one celebrity who believes he’s not guilty: Kanye West, who issued a tweet proclaiming Cosby’s innocence.

One fellow celebrity who took issue with the tweet is Sarah Silverman, who takes West to task by pointing out there have been 50 accusers “with nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy.”

Also not impressed is Zelda Williams, daughter of the late Robin Williams, who issued her own Twitter reply:
