RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect related to a bomb threat made in November against a WestJet flight that was preparing to fly from Halifax to Calgary.
On Nov. 22, 2015, police responded to a report of a bomb threat against WestJet flight 229. The flight was carrying 69 passengers and six crew members, but had not left Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Everybody was able to exit the plane without incident.

RCMP searched the plane and did not find an explosive device. An investigation revealed that the threat was made from a gas station pay phone on Robie Street in Truro, N.S.
The caller is described as a male with a raspy voice who was driving a light-coloured 2008-2012 model SUV.
