A 34-year-old man is facing several gun-related charges after police allege he pointed a gun at another vehicle while driving a pickup truck.

According to RCMP, officers were called to Highway 63 near Hardin Street shortly after noon Thursday when someone reported seeing a man point the gun while driving.

Police said officers pulled over the pickup and arrested the driver without incident. They also seized a loaded, double-barrel, sawed-off shotgun that was inside the pickup.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured.

An investigation is ongoing and the suspect remains in police custody.
