Shubenacadie Sam doesn’t see shadow, predicts an early spring

The results are in and it looks like there will be an early spring for Nova Scotia, at least according to Shubenacadie Sam.

Furry weather groundhog Shubenacadie Sam did not see his shadow on Tuesday, predicting an early end to this year’s winter.

Last year, the province’s favourite little weather critter predicted six more weeks of winter. There were back-to-back snow storms plus lots of rain and icy temperatures, making it a difficult winter for many.
