EDMONTON – Thousands of football fans packed Commonwealth Stadium Sunday afternoon for the CFL West semifinal.

The Edmonton Eskimos came out on top with an 18-10 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Eskimos will now advance to the CFL West final next Sunday against the Calgary Stampeders.

It was November football in Canada, which meant freezing temperatures.
Global Edmonton weather specialist Kevin O’Connell expected a high of -8°C Sunday afternoon, but that didn’t hold back football fans.
There were 26,237 fans in attendance Sunday afternoon.
But of course it wasn’t just Eskimos fans who were game ready. Thousands of Rider fans also packed the stadium, in true Rider Nation form.
