On Friday, New Brunswick’s Public Safety Minister, Kris Austin, urged citizens to prepare for the incoming Hurricane Lee, citing previous storms that caused weeks-long power outages. He advised citizens to stock up on essentials and have a 72-hour emergency kit. Austin also warned against visiting the coastline during the storm, as it could put lives at risk, adding that it’s important to not “underestimate what this could be.”
