Manitoba Shared Health CEO Lanette Siragusa responded to questions on Friday regarding the emergency response to Thursday’s deadly crash in Carberry, Man., that killed at least 15 people. Siragusa said the response from all first responders and hospital staff was “tremendous and Manitoba’s health system came together for the good of the patients.” Chief medical officer Dr. Rob Grierson added that, “You can never prepare for an incident like that, but everyone rose to the occasion in short order to provide the highest lever of care possible.”
