Nova Scotia health minister talks ER wait times amid proposed changes to system

Nova Scotia Health Minister Michelle Thompson said Wednesday that as new measures are implemented in emergency departments, patients will notice changes to wait times. As an example, she said someone triaged at a "lower acuity number", the option will be available to wait either through the virtual care or in-person setting and be advised of the wait time for each type of process. She said a key focus is on access for patients.
