A coalition of community groups is putting pressure on the City of Montreal to follow through on a plan for social housing in the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough, specifically on the old site of the Montreal Hippodrome, formerly known as the Blue Bonnets Raceway. As Global’s Phil Carpenter reports, the groups say they are becoming impatient as the needs for social housing in the city is growing rapidly.
