Switzerland breaks neutral status, adopts all EU sanctions against Russia

Swiss President Ignazio Cassis announced on Monday that the federal council had decided to adopt all sanctions against Russian individuals and companies that had been imposed by the European Union over its invasion of Ukraine. It’s a sharp deviation from Switzerland’s long-standing neutrality.
