Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson called the shuffle of Finance Minister Scott Fielding into the role of Minister of Natural Resources and Northern Development one that would be a "really exciting" portfolio for the MLA for Kirkfield Park. She said it sends a message to Indigenous partners they are serious about giving jobs "and hope and opportunity" to Indigenous Manitobans.
