Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Wednesday that the government is temporarily expanding eligibility for its Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit amid new Omicron-related COVID-19 restrictions. The benefit allows any worker to apply if their workplace has been slapped with capacity-limit restrictions of 50 per cent or more.
