COVID-19: Canada broadens Worker Lockdown Benefit as Omicron prompts new restrictions

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Wednesday that the government is temporarily expanding eligibility for its Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit amid new Omicron-related COVID-19 restrictions. The benefit allows any worker to apply if their workplace has been slapped with capacity-limit restrictions of 50 per cent or more.
