Homeland Security secretary says U.S. has determined Haiti is able to receive expelled migrants

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Friday that the U.S. has assessed the situation in Haiti following the assassination of former president Jovenel Moïse and the deadly Aug. 14 earthquake, and determined that the island nation is able to receive expelled migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.
