Tokyo residents express concerns as city sees 2nd straight day of record COVID-19 cases

Tokyo residents expressed concerns on Wednesday over the city seeing its second straight day of record COVID-19 cases, with more than 3,000 reported, as well as 8,000 nationwide, with some saying they were “really scared” over the spike. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga ignored questions from journalists asking if he had a response to the increase.
