Few N.S. Hospitals meet paramedics’ patient offload goal, system overhaul needed

The provincial target for paramedics to offload patients is between 20 and 30 minutes but very few hospitals in Nova Scotia are meeting that mark and so a major overhaul on the emergency health care system is needed to address the patient flow issue and get ambulances stuck at the hospital back on the road.
