EU sanctions would send ‘clear message’ to Putin supporters, Navalny ally says

Leonid Volkov, chief of staff for Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, said on Monday that European Union (EU) sanctions in response to the jailing of Navalny would send a “clear message.” Volkov also said protests against the jailing would continue, promising a mass peaceful protest in the spring.
