Texas power plants back online, but 325,000 households still in the dark, governor says

Power was restored to more Texans on Thursday, with fewer than a half-million homes remaining without electricity, but many still were without safe drinking water after winter storms wreaked havoc on the state’s power grid and utilities this week. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said power has been restored to nearly 2-million homes across Texas, and 325,000 are still without power due to downed lines or the need to manually reconnect to power.
