Up to 15,000 National Guard troops are lining the streets in Washington, D.C. in the lead-up to the presidential inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden. On Tuesday, the FBI warned of new threats of armed demonstrations at all 50 state Capitols in response to Biden’s inauguration. The eerie news comes less than a week after a violent mob managed to breach the U.S. Capitol building, ransack Congressional offices, and interrupt the certification of Electoral College votes for hours.
