Majority of Canadians polled want social media companies to do more to stop hate, racism online: Ipsos poll

An Ipsos poll found a majority of respondents want social media companies to do more to prevent or remove messages of hate and racism from their platforms. More than 80 per cent felt that it should be mandatory for social media companies to report messages of hate or racism to the police, while another 81 per cent believed social media companies should be taxed in Canada.
