Coronavirus outbreak: FDA revokes emergency use of malaria drugs for COVID-19

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday revoked its emergency approval for hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, the same drug touted by President Donald Trump to stave off the coronavirus. The FDA says it is no longer reasonable to believe it’s effective in treating the disease.
