Ancient seawall shows how ancestors also faced rising sea levels and climate change

Researchers said on Wednesday that an ancient seawall erected 7000 years ago along the Mediterranean coast is the oldest evidence of a civilization tackling rising sea levels; a modern-day issue for many cities. The 100-meter wall, constructed in northern Israel, was used to defend against oceans swelling from glacial melt at the end of the last ice age.
