Federal Election 2019: Scheer promises to impose $20K penalty for politicians who violate Conflict of Interest Act

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer said Wednesday that if elected, they would introduce legislation to impose a $20,000 penalty on anyone who violates the Conflict of Interest Act, as well the “No More Cover-ups Act” to prevent the use of cabinet confidence by politicians to block RCMP investigations.
