For some Syrian Refugee support teams the obligation is over; but the work, passion & bonds continue

Veterinarian Kristy Hiltz is one of about 15 community members that makes up one of Peterborough’s “Private Sponsorship” groups, created specifically for assisting Syrian Refugee Families with all of their needs for one full year. Their groups’ story, chronicled by Mclean’s Magazine Senior Writer Michael Friscolanti , helped communities across Canada understand the remarkable network needed, and voluntarily created, for the transition thousands of Syrians fleeing their homeland.
