The numbers are staggering. A new report by the Canadian Cancer Society estimates halfof all Canadians will develop cancer in their lifetime and one in four will die from it. Those are the disturbing statistics that this weekend’s “Ride to Conquer Cancer” event hopes to reduce. One Kelowna woman has taken part in the event every year since it began. Because as Klaudia Van Emmerik reports, her devotion to the cause is a very personal one.
