NASA captures footage of Delaware-sized iceberg forming in Antarctica

British researchers have warned that a iceberg the size of Delaware could form if a rift in the Larsen C ice shelf continues to expand.
Scientists at the University of Swansea’s Project Midas said the rift had grown substantially in late December and only 12 miles of ice now connected the 1,900 square mile area of ice from the main body of the Larsen C ice shelf located in the Antarctic Peninsula.
