Mark Haden on using ecstasy to treat PTSD

Tue, Jul 14 – Ecstasy is known as a party drug used at raves, but it could soon also be used as a treatment for post traumatic stress disorder. A team of psychiatrists and psychologists in Vancouver are now running a clinical study to determine whether ecstasy could be an effective treatment for PTSD. Mark Haden, an adjunct professor at UBC’s School of Population and Public Health, joined BC1’s Prime to discuss the study.
