Stefka Marinova-Todd on language learning for kids with autism

Fri, Apr 10 – Her research shows that there’s no reason not to encourage children with autism to learn another language or two. The worry was that because children with autism have problems communicating, learning another language would hamper their development. Not an issue says Stefka Marinova -Todd, UBC Associate Professor in the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences.
