Ahead of Tuesday’s federal budget release, Canada's Revenue Minister François-Philippe Champagne continued the longstanding Canadian tradition of buying a new pair of shoes ahead of the budget release. In a 2025 twist however, Champagne was at Boulet Boots in Saint-Tite, Quebec, on Monday where he rolled up his sleeves and helped workers put together a pair of shoes to demonstrate that they were made in Canada. Champagne said it’s “going to be an investment budget.”
