Speaking to the media on Friday, Toronto Blue Jays Manager John Schnieder announced that Kevin Gausman will start Game 1 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees on Saturday. Toronto’s skipper also said shortstop Bo Bichette remains day-to-day with an injured knee and that his availability for Game 1 is “coming down to the wire.” “The guys are fired up to see how crazy these Canadians are going to be,” Gausman said, adding that while he pitched in the postseason for the Jays in the 2022 season, this postseason will be “completely different.”
