Canada’s youngest workers mired in a jobs ‘youth-cession’ amid cost-of-living crisis

The jobless rate among 15 to 24-year-olds hit nearly 15 per cent in July, according to Statistics Canada — the highest level in nearly 15 years, excluding the pandemic. And a new report by Desjardins Economics paints a grim picture of the labour market for the country’s youngest workers.
