In a press briefing in Latvia, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada was extending its overseas military operation, REASSURANCE by another three years. It is Canada’s largest overseas military mission and commitment to NATO, launched in 2014 following Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine with approximately 2,000 Canadian troops stationed in Latvia.
