Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre said on Friday that he was “happy” to hear that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney got U.S. President Donald Trump on the phone, but it was yet “another capitulation and climb-down” by Mark Carney. Poilievre criticized Carney for removing almost all tariffs on the U.S. without securing any concessions in return, stating, “His elbows have mysteriously gone missing and this call follows another concession.”
